At Lezley's Annual Golf Tournament held in July 13, 2010 at Dragons Fire Golf Course there was not one, but two Hole in One prizes to be won. On one hole we had a new 2009 Harley Davidson Motorcycle donated by Stoney Creek Choppers and on a separate hole we had a cheque for $10,000 sponsored by Select Real Estate and ECI insurance. The most amazing part is Paul MacDonald won both of these holes, getting two hole in ones in one round of gold...on the prize holes, a task where the odds are considered to be 1 in 67millions. A pretty exciting day for Paul MacDonald.

Lezleys Annual Golf Tournament |

Lezley's Annual Charity Golf Tournament held at Dragons Fire Golf Course in July brought together a great group of people for a fun day out and a good cause. Proceeds from the tournament raised $1,160 for the ROCK - Reach Out Centre for Kids a foundation geared towards helping children and families dealing with mental health issues and a 50/50 draw raised $300 for the Aldershot Lions Club, as well as raising funds to support Big Brothers and Big Sisters. After a full day of golfing, participants headed back to Lezley's for dinner and prizes including a keg sponsored by Nickel Brook Brewery for closest to the line, and the big prizes of the day includes a Harley Davidson Motorcycle and a cheque for $10,000 each awarded for a Hole in One prize.

Lezley's Bring Home the Trophy from Hamilton Wingfest |

On June 13th, 2010 Lezley's proudly took home the trophy for Best Hot Wings as voted by the people at Hamilton Wingfest. The Hamilton Wingfest festival is held yearly at the Hamilton Waterfront featuring local restaurants bringing their best wing recipes to the customers. The three day festival also includes several concerts, a carnival for the kids and an amazing fireworks display. As Lezely's first year entering into the festival it was quite an accomplishment to bring home a trophy that had previously been won by Wings Up for the past three years in a row. |

Burlington's Amazing Race |

On Saturday May 15th teams competed in Burlington's Amazing Race to help raise funds for the United Way. On one leg of the race teams stopped by Lezley's Restaurant for their challenge of Rolling the Perfect Roll-up. Teams had to first watch staff demonstrate how to roll cutlery in napkins for table settings, team members then had to complete the task on their own to the approval of Lezley's owner Lesley Parrans. Once teams were able to roll "the perfect roll up" they received their passport stamp for that challenge and on to the next leg of the race.
This year's event announced that they raised $12,500 for charity through sponsors, participants, challenge hosts and volunteers. This money will go towards helping many individuals and families throughout the Burlington area.

Canada's Largest Ribfest |

Last weekend marked the 14th year of Canada's Largest Ribfest - Ribfest Burlington at Spencer Smith park, where 18 Rib teams from across North America competed for the title of "Best Ribs". This years event proved to be much larger than previous years, with 175,000 people in attendance, that's 27,000 more then last years event.
Burlington Ribfest is organized by The Rotary Club Burlington Lakeshore as a way of raising money for local charities, and this year the Rotary Club was pleased to announce they had raised an estimated $320,000 from this event.
Lezleys team was in attendance this year sponsoring the ribfests beer tents, helping with ticket sales, greeting Ribfest visitors and handing out thousands of gift certificates for the Lezley's to everyone they met.
